Mark Hintze – (Wife Robyn) fellow cancer brother and friend since the moment we met at Huntsman. MarkandRobynHintze Mark has had more complications and challenges than any other patient I have met, yet he always remains extremely positive, upbeat and always asks how others are doing. In 2015 Mark was diagnosed with a rare deviation of Multiple Myeloma and in July 2015 he received an autologous stem cell transplant which was not successful for remission. In February of 2016 Mark received a second allogeneic stem cell transplant and due to complications was admitted to ICU in a coma for twelve days. Once he awoke from the coma he began to experience many complications from graft versus disease from the this transplant. The second transplant cured his Multiple Myeloma however he has recently developed another form of blood cancer called Myelodysplastic syndrome which he is currently undergoing chemotherapy for. Mark and Robyn’s Mantra is “Love is the answer” and they are.
